Rockfall was recorded 9:29 AM today, Dec. 17, 2025, by seismic and visual monitors. It was generated by the detachment or "spalling" of lava from the summit crater of Mayon, according to the PHIVOLCS. “Rockfall travelled along Mi-isi Gully (south-southeast of upper slope; left of camera footage) and came to rest within a kilometer of the Mayon summit.
